How to Set Up Wireless Router
All the routers of different brands usually come with some standard configuration such as they have at least WAN port and some LAN port in the back panel of the router. There may be some different features and configuration menus in the router’s web graphical interface, but all have some basic configurations that are common to all routers.
There connectivity is almost same but default IP address, username and password may vary router’s brand to brand. Following are the default IP address, username and password for some well known wireless router’s brand.

Default IP address, Username and Password for Wireless Router’s brand
Following are the some common steps for typical set up wireless router with your computer system with internet:
Step 1: At first, connect the WAN port of the wireless router to the port of the broadband modem via Ethernet cable. Usually all routers come with a small Ethernet cable that could be used. WAN port is labeled with WAN/Internet port with different color from other LAN ports. Then power on the wireless router.
Step 2: If you want to connect some devices such as computer, gaming console or television that are close to the router and you need more stable and faster connection for them, just connect them to the LAN ports of the router via Ethernet cable.
Step 3: Now connect the one free router’s LAN port to your laptop or computer’s LAN port via Ethernet cable for configuring the router. Find the router’s default IP address, username and password that come with router manual. Most default IP addresses are 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1. Table 1 shows default IP address, username and password for some well known wireless router’s brand.
Step 4: Open your browser and type the default IP address URL of your router like http://192.168.0.1 and press enter key for getting built-in setup screen of the wireless router. Now you have to enter a username and password depending on your router’s manufacturer. Both usernames and passwords are admin for most of the routers. Some passwords may be “password” or some may be blank.
Step 5: Left the Internet or WAN setting in default mode unless you received any intrusions from your ISP end. Keep the LAN setting in default mode. Now go to the wireless setting and enter a SSID name for your wireless network. Choose a security method as per your demand and create a passphrase. You should change your default username and password of the router for security purpose.
Step 6: After completing above steps you are now able to connect your computers, laptops, Smart phones or other wireless device to the wireless router. Search the available wireless networks from your devices, select right SSID that you provided in step 5. Then you will be prompted for a password. After entering a wireless passphrase that you provided in step 5, your devices will be connected automatically to the wireless network. After connecting all the devices, now you can enjoy it.
