Problems occur in Sewing machine
1. Machine not sewing
If your machine fails to sew or even start, the most common points to check are the needle and thread just to ensure that they are working correctly.
Threading the Machine
As the manual instruction to confirm that the machine is threaded correctly. It’s essential to remember that when you thread the machine ensure that the presser footer is up to release the tension and once you are done.
Sewing Machine Needle
So, ensure that the needle is locked correctly and it’s facing the required direction that is the flat side of the needle that facing away from the bobbin instruction point.
Fabric not feeding or it’s jamming
You have to ensure that you have set them at appropriate positions with the presser foot not too high because the pressure wouldn’t be enough thus the feed dogs fails to do its job.
2. Bending or breaking Needles
You have to know how to use the sewing machine because most of the time the needle breaks and then again you have to replace with the new one. These are such a common mistake, and it may happen when you are using the wrong needle, forcing the fabric through the feed. It is important to note that when you use the material, it ensures that it can bend or break the needle when you force it. So please remember that according to the fabric you have to choose the needle.
The Needles sized form 8 to 18 that depending on the use or according to the febric. A size 9 or 11 would the best work for delicate, lightweight fabrics like silk, organza giffon whilw size 14 would best for medium weight fabrics such as flannel, sysnthetic suede and line. If you want to work on the denim fabric then its good to choose the size 16 or 18.
3. Skipping Stitches
Skipping Stitches means to say that when you use a different needle for different fabric it may bend or damaged. Your sewing was hitting a straight pin or forcing material through the feed. But the problem occurs when it keeps recurring its probably due to sewer forcing the fabric inserted of allowing the feed dog to pull the fabric with the drain only guiding the material in to the feed.
4. Sewing Machine thread bunching, tangling or breaking
Many problems are solved quickly but some are problematic it is difficult to explain-
Thread Looping and Bunching
Many time we can not find the problem quickly means to say that we just see upper side but not on the bottom side. But can you know that in the bottom of the machine they are more problematic as compare to the upper hand? If the problem is on top of the fabric, then they are as a result of bobbin threading. All the problem solves when you just the slightest bump can affect your stitching.
When you fail to thread the sewing machine with the presser foot up, then it will fail to have enough pressure to allow for sewing. Also just confirmed there are no debris or lint the moving the parts and ensure that they are not damaged.
Thread Breaking
There is another problem in the sewing machine which is thread breaking that indicates your thread is not enough quality for the tension or type of sewing that you are doing. Just remember that the branded threads are expensive of higher quality than the usual threads.
You have to ensure that the thread travels and its free form nicks, sharp points and burrs that would probably cause the break.
